Louisa has taught in Warwickshire Primary Schools for over two decades and was a senior leader for fifteen years. Most recently she has worked in an advisory capacity, supporting curriculum development and enhancement through drama, movement and The Arts.
As a member of the Primary Team at the Centre of Teacher Education at The University of Warwick Louisa supports the progress and success of trainee teachers. She teaches on the Wider Curriculum programme, creating learning opportunities that prepare, and inspire trainees for their roles in the classroom.
Louisa has trained in children’s therapeutic play and counselling and understands the centrality of play to communication and learning for children of all ages.
She has a passion and talent for using drama and story as whole school curriculum drivers, firmly believing that engagement with active and experiential learning supports pupil engagement, develops character, and promotes wellbeing and overall outcomes.
She aims to inspire and develop the skills of those who work with children, who want them to succeed in the fullness of humanity and feel joy in their everyday learning experiences.
